< Back to full events listing

This webinar, second in a series of Thrive events concerning childhood obesity prevention, features Ginny Torrey, Marilyn Krajicek and Gerri Steinke of the National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care and Early Education along with Judy Collins, former president of the National Association for Regulatory Administration (NARA).

The panelists discuss their work related to Preventing Early Childhood Obesity in Early Care and Education Programs, the new set of national standards describing evidence-based best practices in nutrition, physical activity, and screen time for early care and education programs. These are a targeted selection of standards from the upcoming Caring for Our Children: National Health and Safety Performance Standards; Guidelines for Early Care and Education Programs, Third Edition. The presentations provide information on the origin of this work, the advisory group and national conference that advanced this work, and the multiple, valuable resources that are in progress as a result.
