In a recent Fairness Initiative on Low-wage Work podcast for members of the media, senior research associate Kinsey Alden Dinan of Columbia University’s National Center for Children in Poverty (NCCP) talks about the NCCP report Budgeting for Basic Needs: A Struggle for Working Families , released on March 3.

The report addresses the inadequacy of low wages and the difficult choices they force on low-wage workers and their families.
