Diana Barnes-Brown
Communications Associate
Diana Barnes-Brown is a creative communications professional with more than a decade of experience in writing, editing, communications, and related fields. She has dedicated her professional life to bringing about positive change through the contribution of creative, innovative web and print media and media strategy within the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining NCCP, Diana has done writing, editing, communications and development work for international education, educational development, and global health organizations, most recently as the technical writer and editor for the Reproductive Health Access, Information and Services (RAISE) Initiative at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health. She has also worked as an ESL instructor and a freelance writer, tutor and consultant.
Diana holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature with a concentration in creative writing from Vassar College, and has studied applied linguistics with an emphasis on critical pedagogy and new literacies at the graduate level at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
