Sophie Nguyen first joined NCCP as an assessor and project coordinator for the NYC Partners for Preschool Quality project. She is experienced in conducting research reviews, collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and writing reports. As part of the Early Childhood team, she manages ongoing updates to the center’s 50-State Two-Generation Early Childhood Policy Profiles and provides regular supervision to the team’s interns. 

Sophie holds an MA in Education and Social Policy from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. She is currently pursuing a PhD degree in School Psychology at Fordham University. Her broad research interests include promoting culturally-informed, two-generational supports for immigrant and low-income families, as well as enhancing access to mental health services for traditionally underserved communities.
