Sophia Addy is a Research Analyst at NCCP and works on various projects across Health/Mental Health, Early Childhood and Family Economic Security teams.
Sophia currently conducts demographic research on child poverty, early childhood risk indicators and racial and ethnic disparities in mental health service utilization among children.
She recently completed MPH degree in Epidemiology from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in May 2011. For her master's thesis Sophia investigated the effect of race/ethnicity on psychiatric diagnosis and patient disposition for children, adolescents and young adults diagnosed with psychiatric disorders. She also holds B.Sc from the University of Ghana, Legon.
